Solutions for clean water are the main research direction of our lab. Based on the potential strength of the microbial system, we develop environmentally friendly and cost-saving innovative sewage treatment systems. In parallel, under the help of molecular microbial technique novels, microbial ecosystems are revealed, which gave us insight into both macros and micro viewpoints. From there, we optimize the microbiological system to fit each type of wastewater as well as the treatment system. These systems are then applied to address water issues in both developing and developed countries.
